Occupational Therapy Month
CSNHC Celebrates the Heroes in our OT Department
April 1st marked the first day of Occupational Therapy Month, which is a time dedicated to recognizing Occupational Therapists and the important role they play in providing care for our residents.
Whether a resident is recovering from an injury or illness, managing a chronic condition, or seeking to enhance their daily living skills, our occupational therapy team provides a range of methods and strategies to support each patient’s unique set of needs.

Our Creative Celebration
As part of our Occupational Therapy Month celebration, we wanted to highlight the dedication of our OT department and provide an opportunity for people to learn more about this complex and noble profession.
To do so, we sat down with the team at Lake Lodge Nursing and Rehabilitation, where Michelle Christenson, COTA, and Sarah Francis, OT, walked us through what occupational therapy looks like in a skilled nursing environment.
Our Occupational Therapy department is filled with highly qualified individuals who are passionate about helping our residents regain their independence, and these interviews with Michelle and Sarah allowed us to better understand how they go about doing so.
With the foundation provided by QRM our OTs are equipped with the resources and tools they need to be as effective as possible. QRM supports our in-house therapy department, allowing for seamless collaboration with staff throughout our facilities, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.
We are so grateful to all of our OTs for their contributions to the wellness of our residents and we greatly appreciated this opportunity to celebrate them and highlight their profession.
