Two Chefs go Head to Head in a Dietary Showdown
On April 21, our Dietary teams at Lake Lodge Nursing and Rehab and Marine Creek Nursing and Rehab, decided to spice things up with a friendly cook-off competition. The competition involved preparing an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert, with both teams showcasing their culinary expertise. The event was a great way to showcase the talents of our dietary teams and highlight the importance of providing good and nutritious meals for our residents.
The cook-off was a highly anticipated event, and the Dietary Managers from both facilities, Martha Juarez and Denisse Santamaria, put their best foot forward. Each team spent hours preparing their dishes, carefully selecting the finest ingredients, and paying attention to every detail. The competition was tough, but ultimately, by two votes, Denisse and her team from Marine Creek were declared the winner.

This cook-off between Lake Lodge and Marine Creek was a great way to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our Dietary department. It also highlighted the importance of providing our residents with nutritious and delicious meals by showcasing the immense talent of our chefs.
