Creative Solutions in Healthcare Appoints Vice President of Resident Experience

Creative Solutions in Healthcare is excited to announce the promotion of Nicole Barnett, RN, MSN-Ed., LNFA to Vice President of Resident Experience, effective January 1, 2026.

“Nicole’s career reflects everything we value at Creative, growth, accountability, and commitment to doing what’s right for residents,” said Auston Claton Chief Operations Officer. “Her ability to understand operations, clinical excellence, and the human side of care allows her to lead in a way that will elevate the resident experience. This role is a natural next step, and we are confident Nicole will continue to make a lasting impact across our organization.”

Nicole has dedicated her entire career to long-term care, serving in progressive leadership roles across clinical services, operations, reimbursement, and program development. She brings more than 20 years of experience in long-term care, with a career path that began as a housekeeper and progressed through nearly every level of care and leadership, including CNA, LVN, RN, MDS Nurse, ADON, DON, Regional Nurse, Executive Director, and Vice President of Clinical and Reimbursement. Her desire to broaden her impact led her to obtain her Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator credential and pursue advanced education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in nursing education.

Nicole joined Creative Solutions in Healthcare in January 2023 as Director of SecureCare Services, a role that was created to build, launch, and lead the SecureCare, dementia education program. Under her leadership, SecureCare evolved into a dementia-informed, person-centered care model that supports residents, families, and staff across our communities. In 2025, Nicole successfully re-launched an enhanced SecureCare program, strengthening training pathways, coaching support, and facility-level consistency while reinforcing Creative’s commitment to resident dignity, engagement, and quality of life.

In her new role as Vice President of Resident Experience, Nicole will provide oversight and strategic direction for Social Services and Activities. Her initial focus will be on Social Services, where she will work closely with teams to provide structure, guidance, and support; strengthen consistency across facilities; and enhance family partnership, support, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Over time, this work will extend into Activities, Life Enrichment, and Guest Relations, ensuring programs are aligned, purposeful, and centered on resident dignity and engagement.  She will also continue to lead and grow the SecureCare program, expanding its reach, refining education and coaching systems, and supporting facility teams in delivering meaningful, needs-based care.

Nicole shared, “Creative Solutions was built on the belief that a life lived for others is a life worthwhile. I’m honored to carry that mission forward by helping ensure every resident feels seen, valued, and supported.” When reflecting on this promotion and what this opportunity means to her, she continued saying,

“I feel incredibly honored and grateful. Long-term care has been my calling for more than 21 years, and this role allows me to continue serving our residents and supporting the amazing caregivers who make a difference in their lives every day.”
